Development Staff

Blair Danner has been the Associate Director of Development with the Cyclone Club since 2010. Blair’s responsibilities in this role include providing customer service assistance and leadership for all aspects of the Cyclone Club annual giving program, including the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors. He specifically handles the premium seating revenue opportunities in the Jack Trice Club, Sukup End Zone Club, suites, CourtCYd seating and wrestling floor seating. In addition, Blair oversees the Courtesy Car program, working with car dealers who provide vehicles to ISU Athletics coaches and staff, and he manages the Cyclone Gridiron Club financials for membership renewals and acknowledgements. His favorite aspect of working with Iowa State Athletics is building and maintaining strong relationships with Cyclone Club donors, traveling to Cyclone games and taking part in the annual Cyclone Tailgate Tour, where he is able to visit with passionate Cyclone fans.

Before his current position with the Cyclone Club, Danner was Assistant Director of Development at The University of Akron from 2007 to 2011, and was a Graduate Assistant in Development at Akron from 2005 to 2007, while earning his master’s degree in sport science & coaching. Danner is a 2005 graduate of the University of Kansas.

Danner has been a member of National Association of Athletic Development Directors and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics since 2007.

Blair is married to Amy, and they have twin daughters, Aria and Brynn. Blair was born and raised in Glidden, Iowa, and the Danner family currently resides in Huxley.
